automation technology for
residential apartments in
Pune.
A partnership with Konnex
and ABB, has allowed Marvel
to create masterpieces,
year after year. ABB is
a world-leader in devising
standards guarantees multi-vendor
and cross-discipline interoperability
between home automation
devices. Konnex on the other
hand provides the intelligent
consoles to marry multiple
devices. This partnership
has allowed Marvel to configure
intelligent remote controlled
homes and building control
installations, keeping it
leaps and bounds ahead of
the competition.
Marvel's foray into automating
homes began in the year
2005. A single control system
that controlled only fans
and light was deployed in
Marvel Grandeur. It was
a resounding success.
The following year, air-conditioning
controls, geyser and microwave
switches that could be operated
by remote control, were
added to the existing control
systems. The same year,
Marvel became the first
builder in Pune to introduce
Swipe cards for access controls
in the buildings to help
facilitate easier access
and authorization checks.
This was followed by the
introduction of the revolutionary
'Telephonic Gateway Control'
that allowed one to control
all devices from a mobile
phone via SMS and number
commands. Very soon, automated
curtain controls were in
place, in addition to motion
and smoke sensors and security
alarms for smoke/fire/open
windows/movement in your
absence. Total remote-controlled
living had finally become
reality.
All gadgetry and automation
installations were initially
only for apartments larger
than 4000 square feet. Thanks
to miniaturization, Marvel
was able to make these standard
fitments in all apartments
by the end of year 2006.
In the near future, prepare
to encounter possible integration
of plasterable speakers,
glass screens and hidden
projectors, which pop up.
Also in line is the incorporation
of jukebox services for
audio/video and wireless
Internet access, sensors
that will water your plants,
give you current updates
for temperature, rainfall,
wind and velocity on your
cell phones and IP cameras
with Static IP addresses,
so that you can see what
going on in and around your
house, from any corner of
this planet, with just the
click of a button.
